Celebrating UN’s Children Convention in Hamburg
The children are the future and we are passionate supporters of the UN’s Convention on the Rights of the Child, a convention that now turns 30 years. So we were naturally happy to participate in the inauguration of the Platz der Kinderrechte (“Children’s Rights Square”) in Hamburg (Germany) on World Children’s Day November 20nd 2019, for which we had delivered a playful animated character for an AR app, making a happy CG robot dance around. The robot is one of the characters in Goodbye Kansas Senior Animator Jonas Forsman’s short film “The Robot and the Whale”, and the piece was of course animated by him!
41 Articles will be available for reading in the App, accompanied by all kinds of artistic interpretations (in 2D, 3D, MoGraphs etc.). Goodbye Kansas’ dancing robot highlights the 1st article: “For the purposes of the present Convention, a child means every human being below the age of eighteen years unless under the law applicable to the child, majority is attained earlier.”
