#21 – Warlords of Aternum

In the first episode of season 3 of Yellow Brick Road we meet some mean and green goblins and ogres when we talk about the production of the game trailer for the German turn-based strategy game ”Warlords of Aternum”. Director Rickard Engqvist and VFX Supervisor Henrik Eklundh share memories from the production. How much creative freedom does a director of a game trailer have, what are the production steps in a production like this one and how do you convey both character’s personalities, the setup of the game and squeeze in some delightful comedy in 25 short seconds?
